Dr. Carter is thrilled to join Pediatrics of Arlington in August 2022. She was born in California but raised in D.C. Before medical school, she worked as a high school physics teacher with Teach for America in La Joya, Texas and then moved back to D.C. to teach 6th grade science at the National Cathedral School. She completed medical school at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA and then her residency in D.C. She is excited to stay in the area close to family and friends. While she enjoys all pediatric medicine, her interests include newborn care, school and mental health challenges, adolescents, and creating long lasting relationships with her patients and families. In her free time, she enjoys playing with her two dogs, hiking, exploring the city, and cooking.
